To All: Today I start a new series of pioneer Florida short lines in a blue and yellow paint scheme. The Orange Belt Ry was established in 1885 as a 3 foot gauge line. At 152 miles in length, it stretched from Sanford to St. Petersburg, Florida. The main things carried were citrus, vegetables and passengers. After numerous name changes it was purchased by the Plant System in 1895 and converted to standard gauge. In 1902 the road became part of the Atlantic Coast Line RR, the Seaboard Coast Line RR in 1967 and finally CSX in 1980. Most of the line is now abandoned but some mileage are trails and some mileage is operated by CSX. I painted, lettered and weathered this "What If" 40 foot car in this OB scheme.
