To All: The Iowa Central Rwy. was formed in 1866 as the Eldora Railroad & Coal Company. In 1867 it was re named the Central Railroad Company of Iowa and finally in 1870 as the Iowa Central Rwy. Closely associated with the Minneapolis & St. Louis RR, it was merged into that road in 1912. The IC Rwy was known as "The Hook & Eye" and the Iowa Central Route. I painted, lettered and weathered this Athearn 40 foot boxcar in a "What If" paint scheme. Herald art work and photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout.

Lettering?

Nice looking weathering job. It looks like it has been a bit battered up without showing any dents. What do you use for the RR name? It looks almost like it was done by hand.
