What Gives:

A few weeks ago I read on a forum post about the Steam Era Freight Car Group and I thought it would be a good place to get detailed info on modeling freight cars.   I submitted my app, but never got any reply.  Until yesterday when I got this from Yahoo - I guess.

Your request to join the STMFC group was not approved.
Your membership was automatically rejected because the moderator didn't
approve it within 14 days. We do this to provide a high quality
of service for our users.

If you want, you may attempt to join this group again.

 

Is this group closed - it did not say so when I applied.  Was I not sincere enough??!

Anyone know what is wrong?

I'd apply again. I'm a moderator of a couple YahooGroups. I get messages via email and I don't logon to the Yahoo platform much at all. I do get an email when someone wants to join the group, but I don't always get a chance to logon ot Yahoo to approve it quickly. Sometimes I think one of the other moderators will take care of the matter, and I'm certain they might think the same thing. I'm on one group with the Owner-Moderator changed email address and simply forgot he had to do that. Another group had an owner that forgot his Yahoo logon details so he was shut out.

Keep submitting the app. Eventually something will happen.

I have referred to your website a number of times and gotten a lot of useful information.  I will try to sign up, or as Jeff said, try to email him as time allows.  Right now is a very busy time of year (tax season), so it might be a while before I have time.

First time I tried to join a group and didn't know what to expect.
