Editorial - Reverse Running: Get Off the Computer and Do Some Modeling

I love you guys! (or should I say "you all" since I live in Georigia). To post an article that says that you should spend less time on-line (reading things such as Model Railroad Hobbyist) is so cool! I've got to admit that I'm hooked on your mag; however, I do typically spend time on-line on your site during time I definately wouldn't be working on my railroad. I do have to guard against being on-line a little too much! Balance in everything! Keep up the great work!

I find that being online
I find that being online doesn't eat into my modelling time, well not too much anyway. I tend to go online at the end of the day much like others might put their feet up and watch tele, except I do both .
Cheers Steve
not always that easy....
It's not always as easy as folks make it sound. I've relocated to a place that doesn't have a hobby shop, let alone a train resource in the area. Nor are there any railroads (although a subway is in the works).
I've been on site now for about six weeks, and have been looking long and hard for trains. Here's all I found, at a local Toys R Us - the cheap plastic G scale loco and freight car and loop, and the N scale ICE train set in the lower right hand corner (which was priced around $50, so I did consider it).
I'm currently waiting for my household goods to arrive (another 4 weeks maybe?) and than I'll be able to participate once again in the hobby. In the meantime, thank goodness for armchair modeling!
(PS I wish I had put a craftsman kit or something in my luggage....)
