DCC Bachmann Questions I am not sure if this is the correct desk to help us with this problem?

The following in quotes was sent to Bachmann and they did not provide a schematic, did not answer any of the questions, they also refused to cooperate.

"Once we got the shell off we decided that we would mount the decoder in the tender and wire to the locomotive. That being said we were not able to figure out the existing circuit board: “H507X#PCB02 REV: A” “090310”, it does show smoke +-, F- B+, m+ m- (motor?) this circuit board also connects to the headlight and smoke generator. How do we wire in the decoder? Do we wire to the circuit board and isolate the headlight etc.? "

So we wired in the decoder and mounted it in the tender, we assumed that the motor was isolated and removed the circuit board. We are not able to get this to work, so we hooked the motor to the DC power and verified that the locomotive did work, we also verified that the light works with the decoder. We wired the Digitrax DH123 from Digitrax following the wire colors. I am hoping that you can shed some light on this for us. The locomotives in questions are the two attached pdf files. 50440_HO_USRA_0-6-0_w_Short_Tender and ALCO CN 613 2-6-2, sorry don't know how to attached the PDF files. Thank you for your time and knowledge, yours, Lou

It might be that they just didn't understand the question. (I had to read it a number of times to figure out the what you were asking myself!).

Try something like this:

What is the best way to hook up a Digitrax DH123 decoder to your HO scale ALCO USRA?

And, unless you have a mouse in your pocket, don't say "we" this and "we" that use "I" and "me".
