One of our fellow members of the MRH site (who wishes to remain unnamed) emailed me to ask if i would be interested in having a L&N baggage car as a gift and of course I said yes.  He had received the car as part of a lot that he had won on ebay and knew that I modeled the L&N.  It's a great car and is presently in my yard area where it can looks great among all of the freight cars.  Thank you for the generous gift, my MRH friend!

Michael

You might convince Rick that he should expand into passenger trains!  Maybe even have a guest run through Breitenbach and Rosenheim.  Of course, I'm a big passenger fan and that L&N scheme sure looks nice.

If he ever gets a complete passenger train I'll invite him over and we'll shoot a video !

L&N baggage car

That L&N paint scheme has always been one of my favorites.  It looks great sitting in your yard.

Rick.

I really love the blue colour , I showed the picture to my Wife , and she would like to know what is the proper name of the blue ( blue being her favorite colour) Please.

In Australia the states run the railways in NSW the colour of choice was a dull red .

Keep up the great work .

My layout is too small for passenger cars

The curves are too tight to run passenger cars for them to look right.

Smokey, I don't know what the proper name of the blue

You might check with the Louisville & Nashville Historical Society as they can probably tell you.

I get it, Rick

That has been my main stumbling block - I love passenger trains, but the space I have really doesn't give me the opportunity to show off nice, long trains.  Forcing them into tight curves really takes away from the realism.  Has me wishing in some ways that I was back in N scale!
