Well here is the final project for the year. I Kit bashed a Highway Miniatures Erie B-2 Steam Shovel into a Marion Type 450. HBMS had 10 of these versatile units.

I used almost everything from the kit with the exception of the boiler. 

I put a car engine in it and some styrene bits to make it look like there is a power plant in it.

The 450 is very close in size to the Erie so I think it is a good representation.

I basically flipped the body panels around and widened the front door. Scratch built the roof and left it open like it is a hot day. I have basic dimensions which lengthens the car by about 2 ft.

From photos it does not look like the right side had a door at the front so I closed it off.

Nicely done yet again

You have had a productive few days from the look of things.  Is this going to be working the pit or somewhere else?  Now the big question is what is next?

Nice kit bash. I had a hard enough time building mine by the directions!
