I had heard that the Kansas City Southern, Christmas Train was making its rounds  and pulled up their schedule. They were scheduled to be n Newton Mississippi today, starting at 4 this afternoon. They had a note on their site their executive train would be transporting it. This is the F7 series of Streamliner locomotives.

Here's a link to the schedule  http://www.kcsouthern.com/en-us/pdf/2016-kcs-holiday-express-schedule.pdf

It's a cold rainy day, but I decided to head up early so there would still be a bit of daylight and maybe get a look at the F7s. Of course the Christmas decorated bit was cool too.

Well I lucked out and they had the ABA engines and the full series of streamliner rolling stock on a side track, and I was able to get some good pics.

F units

There are a couple of Iowa Pacific F units working push-pull on the Polar Express train here now. Makes me feel old to recall seeing them on SP freights when they were almost new :> ) .....DaveB

Yep, went right by me

Went right by my place in Brandon and ended it's Mississippi run in High Oak Yard in Pearl. I didn't get out and go over but quite a few from our club did.
