To All: One of my fellow club members (First Coast Model Railroad Society) had an air brush goober all over his HO scale CSX locomotive. Short of stripping it and repainting, we decided that I would apply heavy weathering and renumber the cab sides, followed by a coat of dullcoat. Photos by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. I am not a fan of weathering , but I would just apply a coat of dullcoat to it first and see what the outcome looks like.

I would not say it looks a mess , just been working in a heavy polluted area.
