image didn't work

Dear Dawson,

The URL for your image is not an image URL:
http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/modelrailroad%20hobbyist

I'll help you if I can.

How did you post this image?
Here is the image hosted?

In case you have not seen them, instructions are posted here.

Google photos/Picasa?

Hi Bill,

Some speculation om ny part - Maybe Dawson is using either Google Photos or Picasa? Recent changes (see https://forum.mrhmag.com/post/it-has-been-fun-but-picasa-problems-sorted-maybe-maybe-not-12204357 ) mean that what looks like an image link is not actually an image type link. And an image cannot be easily extracted easily from either package.

All you can do easily is to post a link to the image using the "Link" icon in the tool bar rather than the "Image" icon on the tool bar.

@john

Looking at the URL in the post, it looks more like it was edited and became broken, or possibly never worked. All it says in the Image Properties element is "modelrailroad hobbyist" which suggests that the image was not properly linked, but is hosted on the forum, not on a third party site.

Thanks Bill and Joe,

Thanks Bill and Joe,

Looks like my speculation was just that, and incorrect.

The top photo in Joe's post shows the NSWGR (New South Wales Government Railways) AD60 Garratt locomotive,

Thank you

Thank you Bill for sending me the post on how to post a photo , I followed all instructions and Bingo away it went showing up on the Recent Post .

I was real proud with myself , only to see it just showing a small square with a black cross in the middle  .

And thanks to MRH and all its members. This is what makes the Model Railroad community such a great place to be in

Again thanks to all.
