"One More Year" wrap up.

During the month of September Fast Tracks contributed a portion of each sale to Lionel Strang's "One More Year" GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the Psychosocial Oncology Clinic at the Princess Margaret Hospital, where he is currently getting world class treatment for stage 4 cancer.

With your help we were over to contribute over $4000.00! ($4123.00 to be exact...)

I took a great deal of pleasure signing this cheque today...

Many thanks to all those that went out of their way to be a part of this effort. And a special thanks to those that contributed directly to Lionel's campaign. So far he's closing in on $8000 raised.

We are going to make this an annual event, and are going to pressure other leaders in the Model Railroading industry to follow our lead next year and contribute a portion of their sales to supporting those struggling with cancer!

Fantastic

As a cancer sufferer may I say thank you. I live in the U.K. and was aware of your wonderful gesture through both MRH and Lionel's Facebook postings. No matter where in the world we live all sufferers of this horrible disease need all the help we can get. Also money raised in Canada and the US also benefits cancer patients all over the world through shared research projects. I was talking to my consultant in London last Wednesday and a major breakthrough is about to be made in the treatment of my cancer that has resulted from a long term collaboration between Cancer Research UK and one of the major US research charities. Unfortunately it comes a little late for me but I pray a cure will be available soon for future generations.
