In the last few days I extended the layoutframe to the place of the passing station. Pictures will follow soon.

I'm wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for another small steam engine for the G&D Sorethroat branch.

So could you tell me the length of the Bachmann Alco 2-6-0 and the older Bachmann 2-6-0?

Thank you

Markus

The 2-6-0 type is a sweet looking engine, trim and human sized.

Referencing the Alco 2-6-0:

http://mrr.trains.com/news-reviews/staff-reviews/2012/06/bachmann-ho-scale-2-6-0-mogul

" Drawings of this  engine were published in the Model Railroader Cyclopedia: Vol. 1, Steam Locomotives (Kalmbach Publishing Co.). All the dimensions and details I checked matched those on the drawing, including the wheel diameters."

someone might have a copy and help you out.

from pictures I estimate 60 scale feet.

Personally, I allow at least 12" for any engine run-around.  I might want to use a larger engine or move an 80 ft passenger car.  HTH.

FYI

Markus...I have one of the Bachmann Sound Value 2-6-0's with DCC and sound. Actual length is 8.5" coupler to coupler. Great little loco for the price.Runs great, sound is OK...but livable.
