To All: Before cement hoppers were widely used to carry that commodity, the Leigh Valley Railroad and others used a canister system to carry powdered cement. The L.V. loaded these canisters in gondolas and cut square holes in the sides of the gon to access the canister valves. I kitbashed this example from an articles in a model railroad magazine. I painted, lettered and weathered the car and canisters. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout.

Very nice.

Decals

Hi there, I am in the process of constructing an N gauge layout some 19 x 13 feet in size.  It is not and particular age or region,  I am obviously a megalomaniac as are all modelers so I can run US, UK, Continental locomotives plus the Shinkansen that i love along with my US Big Boy.  However I digress, I cannot afford yards of brickpapers or pages of decals so i purchase my blank sheets from www,craftycomputerpaper.co.uk their range is amazing and allows me to produce signs decals etc to my own design.

Best wishes and a great Magazine Gentlemen
