To All: One of my favorite diesel locomotive models is the RS-3. I caught chop nose Michigan Northern Rwy. #1554 in Cadillac, Michigan in the early 1980's. This unit was acquired in 11/77 and was former Litchfield & Madison Rwy. # 303, then C&NW #1554. It was the last RS-3 built and had the last 244 prime mover built installed within. It was eventually sold to the Paperton Junction Southern RR in Arkansas. Photo by Elvin Howland. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail Group Layout.

IIRC, this unit has been preserved down at the Cotton Belt museum in LA or ARK. They have a number of semi-unique locomotives, with the Cotton Belt 4-8-4 the star of the show Loren Casey
