all because it was built a stupid dam. They say that it will provide electricity to near small villages when it was more than studied and proved that this construction will be harmful.

There used to be a narrow gauge line on the left. You can still see the roadbed!

Stupid politicians and capitalists!! This was considered one of most beautiful scenic narrow gauge lines in Europe!!!

In California....

We are taking a bunch of dams out. Many did work as advertised and serve a vital purpose, but some silted up right away, were detrimental to fish etc. The good news is that it doesn't take the land long to recover once it is exposed to the air again. Rivers freed include the  Carmel and   Klamath.
