I've some samples in N scale. I plan to add rivets to stirene beams I want to add to a 130' whalters TT to resemble the Espee truss type at Bayshore /Mission Bay /Lenzen ....
What to you plan exactly?

OK I have a couple of
OK I have a couple of questions about these Rivet Decals.
1 Are these raised rivets on the decal sets?
2. If they are not raised how can you see them after painting unless you have a white Body and you apply them last?
Thanks Dan

They are indeed raised
rivets on the decal, even in N scale. Archer has the ability to "print" plastic resin on decal film, and bind it so the resin transfers with the decal. Thus once installed, you get the bumpy feel of real rivets. I'm told that in larger scales they are even more detailed as to the shape and size of the rivet head.

Thanks for the imformation on
Thanks for the imformation on these decals I really need to try some. I was wondering if anyone would ever figure out how to make raised rivits on decals for just the 100's of applications out there. like Bridges, Truck Box bodys, RR Cars, Metal buildings & structures.

Work Great
While I haven't personally used them, my friend that preforms extensive kitbashes uses and loves them...
His latest Delaware & Hudson Consol still in white, the Archer rivets are the black dots:

Here's the same project painted:

I'm sold
Thanks for the replies. That last post convinced me. I'm gonna have to get me some for a project I've got coming up. I see they also make louver decals, as in for SD-9's and such too. Might have to check them out too.

Oh man, talk about counting rivets!
Those look great!
Slick Looking Consol (D&H E-6a ??)
That is one good looking 2-8-0. Any chance you could get your friend to write it up for MRH? Either that, or the next kitbash he does?
Just shows to go ya what you can do with a Spectrum chassis and a pot load of Evergreen styrene.

I'll ask him.
I'll ask. I know he has construction pictures of at least one build, with ideas toward an article for someone. He's done two E5s, two E6s, and is working on a camel back. All built on the wonderful Spectrum chassis.
