So I am laying some track and gathering materials and supplies. Currently the railroad occupies 2 shelves. 30 inches by 9 feet and 24 inches by 12 feet. Both of those are homasote over plywood and cookie cutter with about half the track laid. My modeling partner in crime came over yesterday and we built the benchwork for a third section that is 14 inches by 10 feet. (the width could expand a bit) That is totally his own project. I will lay the track but he is going to design the scenes and structures. Backdrop and scenery is all going to be him.

I mentioned this to him awhile back and he is pretty motivated. He ordered a mill structure to kitbash and I showed him all the bldgs I picked up for a song at an estate sale. Any of them he wants is there for the kitbashing. It is good to have fellow modelers who are motivated. He is also really into photography and that is a great way to see where you need to work on scenes. The picture doesn't lie.

I ordered the fast tracks jig and kit for code 70 rail. The mainline will be code 83, the industrial stuff and waterfront will be code 70 and maybe I will try some code 55 in a few places.

In looking at some of the signatures on these pages, I notice a lot of you have blogs and/or websites for your railroads. I get major distracted looking at the video's and photo's. Its a good distraction and so I think we will do the same. I want to post a lot of pics and video's. Especially some video's on installing sound/dcc in some older loco's. There is actually very few that cover my fleet and so we will add to them.

I have the first sound card and all the supplies and just waiting for the moment to dive in. I am also deep in the process of clearing out the basement so I can expand in a big way. Its amazing how much junk we acquired over the years.

If there is no photographic

If there is no photographic evidence, then it does not exist.

I think bigfoot is likely

I think bigfoot is likely real. I seen pictures! I want to hide one in my forest somewhere. Maybe an O scale gorilla would work for HO? I am slacking on the pictures. I have taken a couple of before's. The after's are taking much longer than anticipated to get there.

@ Stevie

Look under On30 for your Bigfoot.  Every so often one of these comes up on eBay.  It is currently sold.

Yeah, that's the guy! I saw

Yeah, that's the guy! I saw him in a movie. Then he got a part in a TV sitcom. My modeling friend is always doing stuff like that so I want to beat him to the punch.
