Christmas in April !!!

I just finished watching the last of the Model Trains Video Operation Session Live videos (1-4), after having them in my hands for over a week.

I had been away for several days and could hardly wait to get back to see the balance.

The videos are candid and well done. Loads of interresting footage of both the Siskiyou and Bear Creek & South Jackson railroads in action during various operations sessions.  A must see for those that are interested in learning more about an operation sessions, and what it takes to operate one of these large model railroads.

For me it has been Christmas in April.

Bravo to Joe and Charlie!

OP's Videos

I couldn't agree more!  Watching OP's 1-4 was my introduction to realistic operations.

I used to focus on creating a realistic scene for my trains to run through.  Now my focus is trying to create a realistic scenario upon which realistic scenes can be constructed where those trains can then be operated in a realistic way.

As far as the videos are concerned.  Even though I have experience building layouts and doing scenery I found Joe's other DVD's to be a great resource.  Volumes four and five, the scenery DVD's are IMO, "must haves" for any modelers library.

OP's Video Set Ordered.

After reading the posts on this set and having a look at the preview at the link posted above, I just placed my order for the set.

I can't wait to get the set and look forward to watching them.

UPDATE 4-12-10:

Just an update about the order.  Saturday evening I received an e-mail stating that my order would be shipped on 4-12-10 and that I should received the DVDs 2 to 3 days later.  I'm pleased to report that I received the set today, 4-12-10, the day I was told the set would ship.

I must say that I am well pleased with the quick service.  I have not yet had a chance to view the DVDs, but I am sure I will be pleased.

Here is a well deserved thank you to Joe and all those involved for great service.
