Steel Mill Book Is released

Mon, 2010-03-22 11:40 — bkempins
Kalmbach announced today that my Steel Mill book is released
.
If you ordered from me, I have not received my copies yet. I should get them soon and will shipped the signed copies ASAP. It's not too late to order one from me as I will keep some in stock.
I hope you like it. Doug Gurin, founder of the LDSIG, commented that it is the best illustrated Kalmbach Book he has seen when he reviewed a copy.

All orders shipped
I shipped all the preorders for signed copies that I had. I still have copies in stock if you want a signed book.
I heard from several hobby shops that have it in stock. Has anyone seen or read the book yet? What do you think?
It's a best seller
I checked Amazon last night and my steel mill book was the number 1 seller in model railroad books. Wow!
Amazon is showing it as not released, but it is out.
I've been on the fence...
I've been tempted to buy this book more than once since it becaome available, not so much because I want to model a steel mill though. It's more about the notion of having the reference and it being signed by the author.
If Alkem was on the list of sponsoring advertisers I would have made the commitment to buy long ago. I'm still on the fence with it.
I wonder why the Alkem Cattails have been discontinued? I would have ordered a book and some cattails earlier this week but they are not available now. Still thinking...
Alkem can't be a sponsoring advertiser
Alkem cannot be a sponsoring advertiser because of Bernie's government job and its restrictions.
Because of this issue, Bernie enjoys a unique position here on this forum - we have a "gentleman's agreement" that he is allowed some special freedoms in exchange for his valuable insights!
Go for the book, I say!

Do you have a drawing for these?
As to Waterbury, yes, I should finish it. It's on the do list, but way down there.
no drawlings, but
no drawlings, but pictures. Let me see what I can come up with, and maybe translate them into a drawing program.
