Eric Gagnon (http://tracksidetreasure.blogspot.ca/) posted a link on the Canadian railway modelers Facebook page with a link to the Everett Baker slide collection held by the Saskatchewan Historic and Folklore Society (www.shfs.ca ).  It has wonderful 1940's vintage shots of rural Saskatchewan life with a fair amount of railway content of particular interest to modelers such as grain elevators, stockyards, rural town views and quite a number of trains.

I was noodling through the collection out of curiosity when an image of a Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting electric locomotive in 1946 popped up on the screen.  I nearly fell out of my chair as I have never seen any colour slides or photos of the smelter from that early period.  Additional views of buildings and the smelter are also there.  _9140-XL.jpg https://everettbakerslides.smugmug.com/Photography/1940s/i-LxXzw78 is the link to the page.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked right now.  I have written the society hoping that they have more unscanned slides from the Flin Flon area in the collection.  Wow, just wow.
