TMTV

Ask any model railroader for a list of railroads they'd like to visit, and you'll probably find the Franklin and South Manchester near the top.  We visit with the the FSM's creator George Sellios and catch up on 50 years of modeling excellence. Watch it now on TrainMasters TV ....

Glad to see this video

Glad to see this video finally posted and it was worth the wait. Is there any more footage that will be presented at a later date. Would be nice to see a tour from one end to the other. Seams that the camera stayed pretty much in one area during this episode.

Thanks for sharing your layout George.

One thing I noticed it was mentioned toward the end by George that photography was not permitted during his open houses, but on the video there were plenty of cameras being used. I would have a hard time keeping my camera turned off if I was there!!

Bonus footage

Neil,

The visitors with cameras were from a local club who organized a special tour of the the FSM that happened to be on the same day as the regular visitations.  They were lucky to be granted the chance to roam freely and take pictures.

I was able to shoot the entire layout from end to end, and there was plenty of footage that was not included due to time constraints.  I hope to post some bonus running footage at some point.  November is packed, with a TMTV documentary later in month, and a bonus featuring Gary Christensen and Joe Fugate discussing weathering techniques.  I'll try to squeeze the FSM into folk's stockings sometime around Christmas... but only if they've been good all year!

I should add that George is a great guy with a heart of gold.  He's very modest and really does have a good sense of humor.

Happy

I was really happy to see this at this time. I was lucky to find a DvD version of AK's first F&SM shows and showed it to my lady friend a few weeks ago. She went nuts over it and wants to see more, so now I'm actively searching for the second and third installments from Allen, but no luck so far.

I had been hoping someone would do George's layout again and was thrilled to see it on TMTV. THAT just made this years TMTV fees worth every cent!

Tim

PS: Not that I don't like all the content on TMTV, but this was a big pile of icing on the cake!

What a treasure...

It was delightful to see someone with such indescribable skill have humility to match.  Truly a master.

The one time I got

back to George's shop there was a sign on the door stating that he had gone to a RR swap meet and would be back Monday.  Disappointment of a lifetime.  I never get back to the east coast anymore.

Another homerun for Barry and TMTV!

Another great video documenting a fantastic miniature world. George's layout is stunning, I really enjoyed learning how he used his lighting to show off certain scenes within it. Thanks for a great video Barry.
