Has anyone with a 2 level RR ever run a scenic element from the lower level through the upper level? I'm thinking a mountain with a tunnel on the lower level that would taper through the upper level so I can introduce a bridge to cross the mountain on the upper level. Blayne

I have built a nolix which is a modified helix that will be in the form of a mountain with visible track in front.  There are four loops and two will be visible.  This also has the added advantage of reducing "wait" times modelers can encounter with a helix, the train enters at the bottom then wait..wait...wait... until it emerges on top.

Two Deck Mountain

The Cornhill & Atherton has a mountain which spans both decks and is topped by a small engine terminal:
