Graeme Nitz OKGraeme

I am a fairly ardent Railfan and as such I take a rather large number of pictures of trains and and railroads "Stuff". A lot of these are the standard 3/4 roster or train "going by" pix but sometimes I like to do something different and I call these my "Arty Shots".

I assume there are lots of Railfans out there that do the same thing so I think we should share some of these for others to enjoy.

I will post some of mine and I hope to enjoy some of yours!

I am making a photo montage of a Watco Company Stillwater Central SD40-2. This just a few of the 50 or so I took of the front of this Locomotive.

Artsy...

Yup, every once in a while i take those too.

On the Wye, June 28, 2015, Rosenfeld MB.

My wife is familiar with the kind of train photos I usually take; Square on, sides, ends, details, and a 3/4 view of each car.

So when she saw me take this photo, she asked, "what good is that one?",
I said... "it's artsy for facebook!" she says.. .. "oh".

Mist

This was at the engine house in Gettysburg where I used to work.  I think it was about 103 that day and we got a massive downpour.  After the rain ended, the rails were all steaming, so I took a few snaps.

Photos Missing!

Photos that were posted by OKGraeme, Graeme Nitz,  early in this thread are no longer there.  The text part of the message still is viewable.  Where did they go?

Conway Scenic Railway

At the end of August we took a ride on the Conway Scenic Railway. They are a first class operation all the way. Here's a shot I took while we took a break at Crawford Notch.

Thanks for posting those

Thanks for posting those photos @hobbez !   I live in Gettysburg and would like to model at least the CSX/Gettysburg interchange at some point.  I have #105 and #107 in N Scale, and Intermountain announced the Algoma Central unit for release in the coming months.  A little patch out and I have a third engine on the roster.   Great to have photos to go from.

I think...

....I figured out the problem. I had a lot of pix on the server. So I decided to clear them out and deleted them all. Looks like this was a mistake so I had to reload them. I assumed once they were posted they weren't needed on the server anymore. Obviously I was wrong.

I can't see HOBBEZ pix either so I wonder if this is the same problem?
