March/April Issue here without any complaints?

Very Good Joe!!

Woke up this morning and found the newest issue of MRH Magazine ready for download and not a single complaint about it arriving on March 1st. I guess not letting everybody know it's coming is the hot ticket Joe.

So far I have skimmed through the March/April issue and it looks to be exceptionally interesting and also the best so far. I made a few phone calls to friends to let them know the issue is out so now I'm off to read everything.

1 other thing, it seems were getting hit every other night between 11:00 PM &1:00 AM Pacific time with Auto & Health insurance adds as I've deleted a couple in the past few nights around that time just minutes after they posted and they are getting more and more cleaver about how they insert the links.

Yes, nice issue

I've had a page by page look and now I'm going back to read more in depth.  Looks good guys!

You've started something now!

Joe

You sneaked that one in quietly, but as its only the 1st March, we'll all be eagerly awaiting the next edition on the 1st May......

No problems downloading either, took just over one minute.

Now to peruse and report back later.

Thanks

Brian

Yep, our first true Bi-Monthly!

Yes, this is our first issue on the new bi-monthly schedule.

Our general practice is to post the magazine the first Monday of the bi-monthly issue month - which is March 1 for Issue 6 and will be May 3rd for issue 7.

We also like to let an issue "bake in" for a couple days on here with you regulars before we send out a "come and get it" email blast. This way if there do happen to be problems, we can find them and fix them before the masses arrive.

So far it's been very quiet - nary a wimper, which is a good sign. I expect we'll get the online version and the printer-friendly version posted in the next couple days and then send out the full email blast to subscribers the evening of March 2 PST - in plenty of time to make the March 3rd deadline for the rest of the editions.

The staff all agree - if there's anything we need to do to prove to the hobby industry we're serious, that's to deliver an on-schedule magazine like clockwork.

With good content and a flawless on-time delivery record, you can bet potential advertisers will treat us as a serious contender for their advertising dollar.

I just downloaded the embedded issue.

I don't have much time right now so I just scanned quickly.  I will go back and read it in depth when I get the time(No pint in rushing, having it on my computer to get back to when time permits reduces the anxious wait for May3).  I did try to do some of the click and spins as well as run one video just to see if they work.  They did not work for me, but I may be doing something wrong.  I just thought I'd let you know early for you to check it out.  By the way I downloaded it and then opened it with the Adobe 9 reader.  My operating system is still Vista.  The issue has a lot of very interesting content.  I can't wait to get the time to sit down and read it through.  Looking good Joe!

Everything's now Quicktime

We have been using a mix of Quicktime and Flash in prior issues, but given the way Apple is dropping Flash support (the iPad will have NO Flash support what-so-ever), we've moved to totally Quicktime-based rich media with Issue 6.

If you can't get the media to work, there's now Playback problems links on all the media in Issue 6 (except the FSM panorama - couldn't find the space to put in the link without having to repaste-up several pages of that article ...

Clicking the Playback problems link takes you to pages on the web with the media, and you get several more options including Flash just in case you can't get Quicktime to work for you.

If you're having Quicktime problems, follow our troubleshooting guidelines (scroll down to the Quicktime section) to correct things. Most of the time you need to update or reinstall Quicktime. If a simple update doesn't solve it, then uninstall Quicktime, reboot, then reinstall, and reboot. If the update doesn't work, the reinstall process with reboots between all the steps usually fixes it.

Nice to see

Scenic Express putting an ad in there.  We should all be sure to click it when we go to order our scenery materials.  Hopefully they'll see the activity and realize they should be a main sponsor.

Also some great articles in this month - again!  From the tunnel liner construction to the roof top details article to the static grass applicator construction to the hopper loads, this is full of useful information.  I also loved the F&SM article.

Very Nice and I see today...

Hopefully they'll see the activity and realize they should be a main sponsor.

I just noticed today that Scenic Express has come on board as a sponsoring advertiser.  That is great news!  Glad to see another quality vendor on board!  Thanks Scenic Express!
