Personal Messages

Does this site support personal messages? I've looked around the various frames, and followed up with a search, so I'm assuming no. But as my wife will tell you, I "look like a man".
Thanks!

After a fashion
You can do personal messages after a fashion - click on a poster's name, then click the Contact tab and send them an email.
Drupal does have a Private messaging system, but we've not yet implemented it. If there's enough interest, we might look into something more robust than the contact tab.

Might be handy
Thanks Joe.
I'm not a big PM user, but there are times when it would be handy (and a little more expedient than an email)
Huh?
It only takes two mouse clicks now to write a message directly to someone posting here. How much simpler can you get?

Yep, You're right - Two Clicks
I just used the contact feature for the first time yesterday and found that yes, it is very simple. What I like about PM's within a site is that I don't have to log onto gmail / yahoo / etc. or an email client to read it.
<Matt now proceeds to undermine his argument>
Given that all my mail is pushed to my phone, even that is not a big deal; I'm just used to the paradigm of one application (web site in this case) being a self-contained communication node. If we were voting for addition of the functionality, I would vote yes, but beyond this note I'm not passionate enough about it to *advocate* a change! :)
