To All: Here is a recent photo of an art piece (in this case a photo) I took recently on the side of a building (I believe it is the Senior Center) in Manton, Michigan. Please post any photos you have of railroad art on the side of buildings. Yours, Elvin Howland/E. St. Louis Rail group Layout

I love them

I always appreciate when a town recognizes and appreciates their railroad heritage.

Chemainus, BC, Canada

There are several murals depicting our local railroad history on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Chemainus was almost a ghost town until someone had the idea to revitalize the town and have artists paint murals on many of the town's buildings. Chemainus is called The Little Town That Did"© http://www.chemainus.com/about/index.htm

Mojave CA

The city of Mojave is currently undergoing a major facelift of all the remaining shops along Sierra Hwy. The owners of Gardner Realty have commissioned a mural to be painted by local artist Keith Quirk on the south wall near where the old SP caboose once stood in the parking lot of Mike's Place.

Not Art Per Se....

...But it is a train on a building!

The cab of Victorian Railways locomotive B67 was for years the center peice of the Station Hotel in Prahran a suburb of Melbourne. When the new owner decided to remove the owner of a hobby shop in Gippsland bought it and is planning to have it next to his store after restoring it.
