Im wanting to put up track lighting with dimmable LED bulbs. However there is a small problem. We have radiant ceiling heat and I dont want to drill into the ceiling and cut the wire. Has anybody encountered this issue before? Im not sure what to do.

Surface mount

You can use externally mounted wire channel, painted to fit the wall, to run your wire.  Use the plug in adaptors for the track itself, run it down the wire molding, plug into a stand alone light dimmer (or home automation module that supports dimming).

The wire molding is available at all home improvement and electrical stores.  The plug in adaptor for your track light channel should be right there where you bought the track.  Dimming is up to you  I use Z-Wave, this one looks like it would work but I haven't tested it yet:  http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=11994&catargetid=320013720000066114&cadevice=c&kpid=111994&gclid=CjwKEAjwtMqrBRDwtoehx72vm34SJACl_Un130ElctYXaSEp-crqK4pT0VHCVUrh4eLwuut-TjgDBRoCZevw_wcB

Ask an electrician if there is an easy & accurate way to locate the wires in the ceiling.

Ask an electrician if there

This......

Your favorite electrician should have a meter that can locate the wiring. If you have a friend who is one it could be a lot cheaper
