Hi I am sure most of you have seen my past posts on the Model Railroad Club and had a suggestion to combine them all into one so this is where I will move all past posts and future ones so they can be easily found. If anyone has any other suggestions feel free to post them in the comments or PM me thanks again to all of you people who have helped and are following my posts.

We Now Have Track School Club Beginnings.

After a short wait I have great news. Over the weekend I received the first donations for our school layout. They are an extremely generous amount of products from Augusta Track creator of a modular track system (website link:  http://www.augustatrack.com/

Thanks David Calhoun: We Have Scenery

The list of items is slowly increasing thanks to Augusta Track and a MRH local David Calhoun. Below are the images of what he sent for us and the teacher is very thankful. In roughly two weeks I will be scenicing (not sure on spelling) one of the curve modules so we will have an example next year. On another good note I am currently in contact with Caboose Hobbies ( http://www.caboosehobbies.com/catalog/index_brief.php) and Kato ( http://www.katousa.com/) We are all very thankful for the donations and I will be cataloging the whole building process when it begins.

And now the photo-

Yaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!

This is great! Glad you are getting supplies, I would start advertising for members now! I think you said somewhere else that you were good with computers, maybe you could digitally design an advertisement that you could print out and tack up around the school. Also, if you gave any artsy friends, maybe you could *comission* them to make some posters! I'd love to help with that if I could, I just don't quite know what you would want on it. If you want be to draw up a poster design, I'd love to! Good luck getting some members, I have faith in you! Well, I mean I really want you to succseed, and I think you will if you got this far!!!!!!!!!

Wheaton Historical Museum Donations

A huge thank you to the model railroad group at the Wheaton Historical donation for their donations. They had a very large layout and therefore had lots of leftover supplies below is a short video of the donations and the layout at the museum itself.

Good work

I wish we had someone in our club as ambitious and determined as you in getting manufacturer donations.

If you haven't tried building supply stores (e.g. Lowe's, home depot) for lumber supplies for the bencwork yet, with your success I think you should.

Question:

I am really thrilled by how successful this is turning out, and I truly hope you are able to get support from people in your school. I was wondering if you would accept a favor, would you want a 'advertisement' for your group, I was drawing and it occurred to me, thought I'd ask, this is sounding very awkward but yeah...

If you want a advertisement thingy I would love to do one, ...

Thank you!

Thank you! If you have any particular logo/train/background please tell me now, if none I will just go ahead, I think your layout is in a urban/city environment?
