Meet Lyal Walker - our first $1000 shopping spree winner!
Hi All,My name is Lyal, and I live on the Gold Coast in Australia. Winning the Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine $1000 shopping spree was the surprise of my life, I never win anything. This was some shock!

About myself - I have a large layout at home under my house (never get enough time to work on it.) I am also a member of the Gold Coast Model Railway Workshop. We have about 150 members with a large industrial building as our club base. The largest layout is in HO - we also have layouts in G scale, N scale and On30 too.
The HO modular we call "United Nations" which we display around Queensland and Northern NSW. The photos below show our club house and my western layout, which is on part of the HO modular layout. I must put in a special thank you to co-member John Pinnington, as it would not have been completed without his help. I would like to extend an invitation to visit our club.with Saturday our main club day - drop in and have a chat!
