Here's some shots of my new-ish MOW yard in my bedroom, and what's hangin around.

firstly, in this shot we see ex-SOO line 4000, in primer, and behind it freshly repainted Ex-Northern Pacific 628, now B&M 110. The slight bit of orange visible between them is DT&I 8111, which is currently retired from active duty, until the next time it is hacked into for another attempt at repair, which it gas stubbornly refused to accept. Behind 110 is a tender belonging to the road's 2026 steamer. This tender, currently bearing lettering for "Lionel Lines" and heavily damaged, is awaiting new lettering, shell repairs, and possibly new paint. In the lefthand foreground is an MTH trolley that has been a member of my collection for about two or three years, and will be part of the new rural trolley system, which is on hold as of this posting due to lack of time, plans, and the introduction of several other projects.

Another, closer shot of Ex-SOO 4000 and B&M 110:

An over all shot of the area. Note the steeple cab from my "Gang Car to Steepke Cab" forum, sitting on the siding next to the MTH trolley. The case is used for storing both trains of particular value, trains that aren't used much, and knick knacks that can fit in there with all the trains!

The main purpose of this is to shed a little light on what's been keeping me busy, and away from my scratch building projects. The new identity of the Geep is not known yet, but it is fairly certain at this point that it will either be Maine Central, Boston & Maine, or Otter Creek Ry.    Some say that the railroad us being rather secretive of it's plans, even to the Railfan community. Some few have suggested perhaps they just haven't quite made up their minds, but that's just ridiculous! Who would believe a story like that?

The descision...

I have decided to break rules on a specific era, and model MEC 353 in Gulford colors. The motive? A catch I got about 3 years ago, on the conn River libe in south Deerfeild. It was the best catch I ever got, and this loco was at the point. Right now, I have temporary numbers on while I think about how I am going to tackle my next move, what I'll do to get te affect I want, and find any details I need to change. I doubt MEC 353 is a GP38-2, but hey! Don't all Geeps look the same!? :D

hey your good in scratch building-

Make it a high hood and give it a Norfolk Southern paint scheme.

I am currently designing a gp 38-2 in tinkercad and I am either making it after DME's City of Waseca 6097 (if I can get the paint scheme to work) , Iowa Northern 3802 (again if it is possible to replicate paint scheme), one I can do for sure is a Rock Island paint scheme because it would be fairly easy. Do you have your catch of MEC 353? I am assuming that's Maine Central right? That's way across the country so I am no expert on the road. One of my first cabooses was actually a Maine and Central paint scheme by Bachmann and it was beautiful -and still is.

My tinkercad gp 38-2. working on cylinder above tank then doors and panels, number boards, handrails, stairs, then trucks. Trucks should probably take longest.

Bother! It's upside-down again! (Sigh) anyway, that's a picture of the video playing on my mom's computer, where my catches are uploaded to.

Of course,

the film I took is in HD. This loco has a really weird horn, look her up some time. Note how it seems to start with a higher tone and then comes in full. The driver on this run managed to get the most out of it, and it sounded BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Two locos, 353 and 352, and 13 cars in tow. 3 catches on her way to the yard. The first was the pictured one, and by far the best!

Thank you!

I am still looking for some nice orange/red paint to do the stripe...

i'll probably mix it, but I need some paints to base my color on.
