It's been a long Winter here in the Northeast, but it allowed for some good modeling time.

Nice looking hoppers Roy.  What kind of trucks did you use under them? I've heard the Lionel "scale " trucks had some problems? ......DaveB

Lionel messed up a bit.

These cars were Lionel's attempt at producing cars aimed at the "scale" side of S. Unfortunately, the gauging of the wheelsets didn't conform to existing standards and they didn't track well through my Shinohara code 100 switches.

I had to replace the trucks with some ACE trucks that I still had handy. Other "scalers" used AM or MTH trucks I believe.

Otherwise, they are nicely done and they fit a long-awaited desire on my part to have that particular prototype on the layout.

The couplers are Kadee 802's
