So I was doing some custom drawer inserts for another MRH member (whose initials are KEVIN) last week and when I looked at MY OWN workbench, I frowned.  - like really frowned -

So I created some handy Stacking Organizers and... Problem Solved!

I like them so much I added them to my website as a new product, because, I'm very sure you'll like them too.
I'm offering 4 variations as standard sizes with optional custom engraving. And for anyone that wants custom sizes, we'll be glad to do that too

Hey Cool!

Bill,

Those look really handy.

I had intended to get some pictures taken of the custom drawer inserts you supplied me with, for a forum post describing my attempts to organize my workbench, but life keeps getting in the way.

I have two matching cabinets with 4 large drawers in each and I wanted inserts made to fit the drawers.  I wanted inserts that would stack in the drawer with the top inserts sliding forward and back to access the compartments in the lower level.  The drawers are larger than the maximum size for Bills laser cutter but he was able to come up with a modified design that has worked out fabulously for me.

I've found the bottom inserts also work well as shelves on the top of my workbench.

I can't say enough good things about my experience will Bill and PDC's products and I really appreciate how responsive Bill is, to our individual wants needs and desires!

Looks like another hit Bill!

Best regards,

~Kevin

So

I've got 5 of the shelf units that look awfully similar.  Do these have some sort of groove for stacking better, or if I just stack my shelves, I'll get the same result?  Cause I have a couple of them stacked right now and thought about how to make a little cabinet that they could slide in and out of.  I have those little Sterilite plastic 3-drawer things (similar to this) and it takes me a minute sometimes to get the drawer open because they get hung up (I think the plastic gets mis-shapen from the weight in the drawer or on top - which isn't all that much).  In other words, I find the plastic ones a PITA.

If I was able to have them used as drawers, I'd probably order a lot more over the next while to help with the organization.  The space I have to use could probably fit 7 or 8 drawers high, so just stacking them becomes less practical because you have to remove the top 6 to get down near the bottom.  Hmm.  Might have to talk to Bill again...

Locking Feet

These are a lot smaller than the paint shelf product. They would lend themselves to a drawer arrangement well. I'll give some thought to making a frame to hold them.

The locking feet tie them together. Stacks of 3 to 5 seem handy on my workbench.

@Dave

I forgot to mentions, these are a about 1/2 the size of the Paint Shelves, measuring 4.75" x 8".

Ah, OK

I'm going to have to do some measuring up and we'll talk later, Bill.
