Well I got a cab ride out of the deal. What an awesome time. I think the passengers enjoyed themselves as well. Here we stopped at a drive thru for something warm!lowerres.jpg %3C/p%3E">lowerres.jpg ">http://railyardproductions.comlowerres.jpg

Very Fitting

Since the Irish built a large portion of the early railroads. . . . . .why not? Hoping you have a great turnout.

Irish built a large portion of the early railroads

Hello David,

That is what I think too. I'm sure here in Michigan that the Irish Immigrants did play a major role in the building of the railroads. Ticket sales are going good and we will have a great turnout.

'tis fittin' that we are reminded of the steam era and the history of the rail laying. Seems like 1225 had a bit too much Bushmills - wobbles a lot. Are there plans for smoothing out the RoW?

Was it the wide angle lens you used that gave the fisheye effect?

Nice camera work for a cab ride.

RoW

There hasn't been a steamer on that section of track since 2009 from what I was told. I do think it gets  a good amount of diesels hauling frack sand. I used a GoPro. Hand held footage.  There is an option in the GoPro Studio software to remove fisheye. It was a bumpy ride but for sure the ride of a lifetime.

My wife and I rode this trip.

My wife and I rode this trip.  Had a GREAT time.  I think mid-Michigan may be the whitetail capital of the USA.  Lost track of how many we saw.  Really enjoyed seeing all the various hunting blinds/shacks/tree stands.  This was my first time riding north of Alma.  Being on a train is just great anytime, but being on a train and hearing a steam whistle for every grade crossing is even better.

Did the Owosso-Alma ride in 2009 behind SP 4449 with some friends.  I'm on the left in the pic below taken at Alma.
