Bill Scobie and his crew operate Rico Yard on the RIO GRANDE SOUTHERN: late summer 1940.

At the top of the grade, the helper works some lifts, gets clear of the train.  And the train is reassembled for departure to Rico .

A Cornucopia of action this show takes you around the RGS and highlights the fantastic scenery and operations possibilities.

At the end of the session the trains are pulling into Ridgeway.  Locomotives are returned to the roundhouse and put to bed.

RE:BEAUTIFUL LAYOUT

In deed, Bill even used dirt and rock from Colorado.  The running of the layout requires a huge amount of maintenance.   Changes in temp and humidity causes the track to go out of gauge so you are always in there tweaking things.  Bill works hard to keep it running well.  Sometimes in the year it can be a bit of a nightmare.  But most of the time it is super.
