Dont really have a clue what I want to end up with but I know I want a static display first. Who has the best model diesel locomotives in NP BN and BNSF. Im also interested in "bronzed"  versions of these also.  Im  retired BN/BNSF.

What scale (size) are you looking for?

If you are looking for N scale (1:160)  Kato makes some SUPER nice models in plastic.  I am not sure about brass, but this link may help Spookshow's N scale Locomotive Encyclopedia.

In HO scale (1:87)  Kato, Athearn, Atlas, and Intermountain for plastic.  I know that there are also some brass manufacturers, OMI, Sunset, etc..   Google would be your friend for finding these.

Larger scales MTH ( Mikes Train House) has some VERY nice models in O.

Good luck, Happy modeling

Seems HO scale would be what

Seems HO scale would be what I want to use. This is going to be a 3 Unit display in historic order....Since the room has some RR deco in rustic colors I believe brass would be my first choice.

You can search ebay for brass locos, go to model railroad and trains section, then HO scale, then imported brass to see what's available. If you prefer painted models there's lots of very nice recent production plastic HO equipment in other ebay categories, check out Athearn, Atlas, Bachman, Bowser, Intermountain, Kato, Walthers, etc.......DaveB
