A wee bit O' Rail Fanning on a Friday Afternoon...

I was off to Moose Jaw today for a couple of things and took along my camera bag.  Turned out the battery was just about toast on the video camera so I only got a short clip.

We did manage to take some good still shots down by the yard.

Thought I would share my clip, shot in the frigid cold...

Nice job, Blue.

Kind of makes my afternoon a bit more pleasant, having sights & sounds like that on my desk.

Thanks.

Do you have any stills of the refinery in the background?  I'm always on the lookout for examples to free-lance from.

Thanks Don,

I wish the quality were better.

When my old digital 8 camcorder started to give me grief, I went and bought one of those compact Sony's with a hard drive in it.  I love the fact that I can transfer video to my computer drive in seconds rather than doing real-time captures but that's about all I love about the camera.  Why I thought I would be happy with less than a pro-sumer video camera I don't know???  Live and learn I guess.

As for the refinery, I was not shooting stills at that location today.  I will put it on my list of things to do though!  Next time I am in Moose Jaw I'll be sure to take some to post for everybody who might be interested, here at MRH.

Regards,
