Fast Tracks

Its been quite a while since I posted anything on the layout, so I thought it was time for some new video.  This past weekend I shot some video of the layout running.  Have not done much work on it since the summer, but am anxious to get back to the project soon!

The layout will be set up and operating in our Fast Tracks booth this coming weekend at the train show in Springfield, MA, if you are attending, stop by and say "Hi"!

Thank you

Thank you for the video. It shows your great trackwork.

Will you operate some fine day this layout with car cards or something like that?

Nice Video

Nice Video, Tim, thanks for posting. I may have to steal those old film effects you do so nicely though....

See you at Amherst!

Great to See You Back!

As always, wonderful video footage of an amazing model railway. What will be the next step in construction, balast, buildings, tug boat, water?

train crew communications

How many brakemen does it take to transmit signals between the end of train and the locomotive?  The line-of-sight is very short due to the freight house.

Very nice..   I saw the lights go out at one point. Is that the juicer kicking in or a gap crossing

Dirty spot on the track

Hi Marc,

The quick flicker that you can see in the video is a bit of dirt on the track.  The frog juicers work fast enough to not effect lights or sound during operation.

The layout survived the trip to Springfield and back, a few frozen days in the van didn't seem to hurt it.  I am hoping to get it set back up in the layout room soon!

Next up, I believe, is to spend some time on the design of the freight house, that is a project I am looking forward to starting soon.
