 I think the best way to start any weathering project is to find a photo of a similar car so you have a good idea of how it should look when done.  Depending on the photo the weathering could take many forms. Light weathering  on new cars might just need some chalk, heavier weathering on older cars might need paint, etc. .....DaveB
