I have 2 NRE Gensets with MRC sound decoders. My issue is they start up way too fast going forward. Right when I get to speed step 1 its already going too fast. Reverse is fine. I tried dabbling with CV's 2 thru 4 ( Start voltage , acceleration/deceleration) but without success.

What is kick start voltage and how can I either eliminate or prolong the time frame that the engine shuts down and restarts from idling mode ?

The manual isn't very detailed as to what some of the CV's do and how the numbers correspond .

  Thank you all in advance

More CVs

I'm also using several MRC decoders and adjusted also:

- CV 5: Top Speed

- CV 6: Middle Speed

- Kick Start: When your loco starts too fast, reduce the value stored here; it's an additional bit of power when starting.
