It's time to start up this weeks photo thread!

As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Its unbelievable

"Now looky there. A gen-u-wine miracle. That pope sure is something I tell ya. Bet the engineer there of old 2603 is glad he prayed for a miracle. I don't even see him in the cab. He must still be down on the floor praying."

This silliness is brought to you by the three old codgers. https://www.facebook.com/3oldcodgers They are a group of three old coots who travel around my layout commenting on this that and the other.

Perhaps not the highest fidelity modelling...

...but this Shapeways Trackmobile is helping round out the Pulp Mill scene.

The Willamette Model RR Club

rc-01-w2.jpg

The Willamette Model RR Club in Clackamas OR will be taking part in tours and OPSIG sessions during the Portland Daylight Express convention of the NMRA in 2015. The club's mainline is complete, a long branch is nearing completion, and scenery is in progress.

No link to Willamette model railroad club?

This club seems to be very elusive on internet. J. Brugger, is there no website? I have seen the MRH video interview and a sprinkling of pictures here and there, plus a YouTube or two. Very interested in this club. Hope soon there is a website with track plan, photos with other info that those sites have.

JURG!....

If I didn't  know the models you own and your dioramas and your style of photography Jurg,..I would be hard pressed to question models versus prototype I would be compelled to do double takes on the two shots submitted here as the real thing! I like the models from MM and the others, I like the maintenance crew, I like the reflective water diorama, I like your weathered hi-railer,  I like the entire setting...I like your style of flick composition!

10 stars for yet another WELL performed railroad scenario!

I'm seeing some other really fine photos here this weekend as well.

The club has its own message group but no website. The guys have chosen to keep sort of a low profile. The club is built around monthly TWC operating sessions and sticks to a 1979 Western Oregon scenario. There is a track plan at the end of the MRH article at http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/magazine/mrh-2013-02-feb. Shoot me an email at joeb@mrhmag.com and I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Thank's Gary and Tim

I always try to give my pictures a different look by using additional stuff like Preiser Figures or Pickup Trucks / Cars. I wish I had more Dioramas to play and of course also more weathered Cars and Engines Would be cool if Ken Patterson would live around the Corner, he has plenty of good looking Dioramas / Modules and I'm sure I could learn a lot from a Pro like him.

The local passes through the

The local passes through the mill pulled by a pair of GP38s while the engines assigned to switch the mill idle and wait for the diamond to clear.  The locos are all Atlas except for one P2k and all have dcc, sound, and keep alive circuits.  Just remember, there is not spool of thread in the picture....

I like the mill!

That is going to be a great scene - the mill has lots of character; just  the right customer for a Maine railroad!
