Since we talk so much about 3D printing I thought you all would find this interesting;

Cute

And best yet it doesn't look like everything else out there. My hope is that it priced way under Tesla's and as Ford put it priced so anybody can afford to get one.

- - With the car - We need to print the Layout and House

To heck with the car we need a printer to print the layout and then print the house around it.

The world’s first 3D-printed house

See more images of DUS Architects' 3D-printed house here.

OK so we could add the printed car in the garage.

A Ralph Nader Nitemare

I think Ralph would find it unsafe to drive. They forgot to integrate a rollover bar.

Layout

Ken I'll opt for the bench work and the house. I want to build everything else!!! You are right though the layout ought to be first and then design the house around it. Do I have to give my wife a say in the matter?

Seriously though

It would be pretty neat if you could order the engine and wiring and drop it into a car of your own design. Someday maybe????

...

Or just print the engine yourself...

Get the wife involved

Jack,

Get the wife involved. Set her in front of the CAD system (as noted in other posts CAD can be addictive and time consuming), and by the time she has filled in her parts of the design the layout and house have been printed. Surprise! Now for printing her garden (and layout).

Layout Modules

Yea!

Just Print four modules out and plug them together. Instant custom layout. Then Print a few trains and start operations. Maybe we could melt the stuff down and recycle it into a new layout next week. When you got ready to move, just melt the layout down and move it in a bucket. MRH could have a layout of the week CAD design competition. .
