Does anyone have the track centers for the Walthers HO scale sand tower kit? None are given on the kit and I'd like to get some additional track planning done. Thanks.

Large tower or small tower?

My kit is the drying house and towers and you have a choice of using a large or small tower.  I built the small tower. If I can dig up the directions, I'll check and see if it has the measurements. I can't recall if it does or not.

Not on directions

The pdf for the directions is on the Walthers site and no centerline info. I realize it's a bit discretionary when you do it, but it's made for something within a certain range.

Diagram on box....

Shows the large tower with a center base that goes between two tracks  and two bases that go on the outside of each of those tracks respectively. Measurement shown from outside edge to outside edge of those bases is  5 and 7/8 inches.  Small tower has one base that centers between two tracks. Not really a usable measurement shown there.   My spouts on each side of tower are 3 inches from tip of spout to tip of spout but of course that depends on the angle you chose to make them. Mine are sticking relatively straight out with a very slight downward angle.  Hope maybe that is some help.  BTW, I buggered up the thread rigging for the spouts on my small tower and ended up doing away with it. Very fiddly to do!  There is no thread rigging on the larger tower as it's of a different design. If I can help any more, let me know.

P.S. My tracks are 2.5 inches center to center and that's based on fitting my Walthers wood coaling tower.
