Beautiful work!  What's your setting?  Strikes me as a West Side-esque logging company.

West Side Influence

I have seen a lot of West Side modeling and this definitely influences my structures.  This building is based on set of plans published in Timber Times 3 part article in 1994 called Loco Shop From Hell.  My eventual logging layout will just be fictional freelance shelf point to point setup

Nice

Nice model, although I think the retaining wall behind is a bit out of scale!   ;-}

Great work

I particularly like that some pieces of wood are showing saw marks. I used to work in a sawmill and became very familiar with what rough sawn lumber looks like. You've captured it well.

Thanks

I mill my own lumber on a mini table saw then weather with sweet and sour (vinegar and steel wool).  Thanks again for comments.

You're killing me!

Please though, don't get the wrong idea.  The modeling is spectacular! The thing is  that when I switched from N to HO, I contemplated even going to On30 but decided against it because of space constraints and money. Now I've got a good chunk of money tied up in HO and I keep seeing all this spectacular On30 work!  Guys like you and Verne Niner make me wish I'd given a little more thought to the larger scales.
