JerryRGS

I have finished reading the September issue. I am ready for the October issue.

I can't believe it is not out yet.

Joe is probably wasting time sleeping, eating, spending time with family, and working on his layout.

Jerry, hang out here

Jerry hang out here to get some great content between issues. Some of the better threads on here rival the magazine as to quality.

Joe may be working on his layout but

I have not seen any updates on his web page (unless I am doing something wrong). I think we need an article in MRH on the Siskiyou Line.

Siskiyou Line

The 2015 NMRA National will be in Portland next summer, and the Siskiyou will be on display, open to attend as part of an op session - the whole nine yards.

My plans are to blog on here about the prep for the convention and the after the convention to do some updated video on the layout as it looks now.

So be careful what you wish for ... You might get it. (Wink)

You missed something...

You mention before and after the convention, but you don't say anything about making some sweet Ops Live video of the sessions during the convention.

Talk about pressure!

Oh boy, now not only is it bad enough that you're running on a railroad you've never been on before, now we're going to put you on camera too? Can we say pressure?

Speaking of Ops Live, there's two new Ops Live videos coming on Mike Confalone's Allagash. The first releases later this month, then next should be early November.

Get off the computer

I am building. But it is hard with broken ribs. Which is why I need the October issue now.

A month can be a long time to wait.

Personally, I can't do any modeling until it cools down. Yes, I live in Canada but it is HOT here. 82 and very humid. Everything feels damp and droopy. So yeah, how about that October issue to keep me occupied? LOL

Pressure is good

Pressure produces diamonds.

I'm looking forward to the new Ops Live videos, unfortunately I think I have to wait until Spring to see them on TMTV.

Jerry, I apologize if my comment seemed insensitive......

.........to your situation.  I had surgery on my rotator cuff which was completely torn off where it was supposed to be attached and was forced to wear a tight to my body sling for 6 weeks straight.  I tried to do some modeling but gave up and watched TV and played on my laptop left handed.  I understand your plight now.

But, I do think we all (me especially) spend too much time online instead of on layout, at workbench, etc.  Get well soon.

Not bothered at all

Peter,

it did not bother me at all. But I agree sometimes we spend to much time online vs modeling. But than I think how long I searched for an article in a mag that had some technique I wanted to try before the articles were indexed online.

Still need that October issue.

Re-read all the back issues...

Sounds like a perfect time for you to go back and re-read all the back issues.  By the time you're finished the October issue may be ready. I'll bet you'll find stuff you didn't notice the first time through too.

I have to agree with Jerry I

I have to agree with Jerry I want the oct issue as well. I am going to the club to gather some data for a proposed operating session. I have been building, in the 12 inch to the foot scale. I have also been working on my model workshop room as well. The problem with putting out such a high quality product like this magazine is we all really look forward to our next issue. I mean we reeeeaaaalllly look forward to it.

October issue delivery expected Friday evening

We're expecting to deliver the Oct issue by Friday evening, Oct 3rd. It will first be a quiet release to the website, so watch Recent Posts for it, then it will come to the front page by Sunday evening, with the come-and-get-it email blast going out on Monday, Oct 6th.

We always do a quiet release first because we want to work out any last minute glitches before the masses descend upon the website when we send the come-and-get-it email blast.

October issue has been moved to "quiet release"

"Quiet release" is when we first release the issue to just the Recent Posts list and we're letting it bake in for a couple days before we issue the come-and-get-it email blast to 30,000 subscribers. If you find any problems, broken links, or really dumb errors in the issue, please let us know so we can get them corrected before the big email blast on Monday.
