First off, great digital magazine and I do click on the links that interest me.

I downloaded the 7" tablet version with the embedded links (166MB).

I am using a Google Nexus 7 with ezPDF reader.   Attempting to open it results in a  "PDF file damaged" message.

Downloading the smaller version, without the embedded media was ok.

Embedded edition only for Adobe Reader

Embedded edition only works in Adobe Reader on Macs and PCs. For any other device, it's not supported and it won't work.

You can thank Adobe for that since PDF is their proprietary format. Also, for what it's worth, Adobe reader on mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) totally sucks - we don't recommend it. It is feature weak and buggy.

Our long-term vision is ot move to a totally open non-proprietary format like HTML5. Media and everything works on all devices, unlike the PDF format. We'll make the PDF format available for those that want it, but it's not a format that works well on all devices like HTML5 is becoming.

Embedded

Just to be clear, I'm assuming the embedded version does work on a Kindle using ezPDF.....or have I been fooling myself and running up my metered internet service to watch the videos?

No guarantees, except on PCs and Macs inside Adobe Reader. Everything else is not supported and if it works, we will be amazed, frankly.

working here

I just checked my Kindle by taking it outside of internet range (my train room at the end of the garage) and sure enough the embedded videos worked just fine. Happy camper here.

Sept MRH not working

Fascinating, I have downloading and using ezPDF for months without a problem on my Nexus 7 with ezPDF, even the links works (mostly).

So if I want to read it on my tablet, what are your recommendations?
