For any one out there        Icame across these while searching for HO model containers and trailers. They are paper models and are very well done . Has any one out there used / made these?  They look real good on their website.          ron netti

I've Built Them

Have printed out two or three different models and folded them up, probably a total of 20 or so containers. I used cardstock to print them out, that worked the best for me. I have also printed them on regular printer paper and wrapped them around a wood block cut to the proper size. I prefer the cardstock models. You need to be careful when folding them. With the cardstock I scored the cuts to make them neater to fold.

Given the price of plastic containers they are a very good value, especially if you are trying to fill a train.

I have also scanned all 6 sides of a plastic container, scaled the resulting images, and stitched them together in a graphics program to create my own models. If you do that once, the price of the digicom containers will seem like a bargain. If I were still modeling intermodal I would have many more of them put together.

I cut out and built one

I cut out and built one trailer so far.  I love it !  I have CR England and UPS on my computer to print off also.  I too used cardstock.  Works great !  And Deluxe Innovations has a landing gear/wheel set kit specifically for these DigCom trailers.  Once again, another idea I wish I would have come up with

Also, check out Steve Dehart's Youtube page.  He's been doing alot with these DigCom trailers and containers.  He is acutally who pointed me to DigCom's products.  He is doing some awesome stuff with them

Paper Containers for a Yard Scene

Thought about asking this of the show recent attendees. For a container yard scene this idea would certainly be appealing.

Some more input?
