Is there any way for the user to see the rating statistics of various articles?  Seeing an article received a rating of 5 stars is pretty useless unless you know how many folks rated it.  One person (or relatively few) giving an article 5 stars can not be compared with hundreds of folks giving an article an average rating of 4.5 stars.

How many folks actually review the articles?  When you list the ratings, I'd like to see how many folks rated it ... that would probably be a more interesting metric in determining viewer interest I think?

How about showing the results (numbers of voters and average vote) to those who go to the trouble to rate an article?  Might encourage folks to become more involved?  Many polls are run this way, and it seems like a nice way to do it.

Dave, I am really not

Dave, I am really not concerned how others rate an article. When I do so it is only an expression of my opinion at the time. It is done so with  the idea that by rating articles I might see more of what I am interested in rather than what someone else is interested in. Now if I was the author of the article or the publisher of the magazine I might be more interested in the point you have brought forward as it would help me tailor my work to have more appeal.
