Hobby Shop Day

I was on a hobby shops Trek yesterday "317miles round trip" 8 Model Railroad specialties Shops in 9&1/2 Hours. A few of the Items I was looking for were decoders for 2ea 2-8-0 C-16 & 2ea 2-8-0 C-19 D&RGW light steam engines Soundtraxx DSD-101LC Decoders for them & the RGS Galloping Goose #5 DCC/Sound card Tsunami TSU-1000 DCC w/Sound and 5 ea 0.78X1.56X0.31 Oval Speakers for all 5 engines and 14 differently numbered new Rolling stock by Blackstone in HOn3 as well as numerous accessories and books and DVD's. I finally found everything after 9&1/2 hours of Hobby Shops and headed home with my booty. I would consider this One GREAT Day I even put in a pre-order for Blackstones RGS #40 2-8-0 C-19 with DCC/Sound equipped to be released soon and even got a 10% discount for paying cash for the engine total price of $431.10 including TAX
. I consider that a major bargain so even though The day cost me just short if $1500.00 and I used up all my model Railroad allowance until May of 2020 lol I was in heaven. I also left about 20 MRH fliers at each of the Hobby Shops and 6 of the 8 never heard of MRH and 4 of them brought up the Web site while I was there. I also talked to about 2 dozen customers about MRH magazine and the web site so hopefully well see some new faces so to speak soon. Right now I'm looking out my window and the 4 inches of snow we have received today so were headed into a white Christmas.
OH and a big Thanks to Blue and JoeF for the last minute help on Thursday.

Great News!
Glad to hear you had fun and spent a bundle. Wish I could have ridden shotgun!
Good for you promoting MRH! Every little bit counts!
Dan, my MRH brother, no thanks are necessary! Anytime!
Thanks, Dan!
Thanks so much, Dan!
It's efforts like this to spread the word that will ensure MRH has a long bright future as the forever free model railroading magazine.
