I miss 'em!

Still see some on the Terminal, but almost exclusively on transfers and yard jobs. In fact, one of the Stacy Street Yard jobs today was worked by an SD40-2.

SD40-2s

I do!!!  I can't imagine myself ever choosing a prototype that wouldn't allow me to model SD40-2s (or at least their non-turbo SD38-2 brethren).  I'm in for four of the IM UP models like Shaun's, and I've been very happy with them.

Sorry, Shaun

I should have first complimented you on the nice shots your layout! I really like the engine terminal scene. And those SD40-2s are nicely weathered.

I miss the SP tunnel motors and the SD45's and the SD 40-2's and the big GE Uboats of the SantaFe, Tehachapi before the UP and BNSF take overs was a sweet place to hang out. The SP lumber drags, the oil cans, the ATSF 199 and 991, etc. ...DaveB

Gong bell

I remember the first ones I had for fireman training still had the gong bell in the nose. We knew those were former CNW units then. The new rebuilt ones are ok too.
