Well on to the next project for the layout. This time it's a coal loader for the steam engines and we're doing it the old fashioned way by bucket and shovel.

Starting off with assembling the basic frame.

While that's drying I'll show how the coal going to get there.

This is a Hornby drop side goods wagon. I've removed the couplers and lined the bed with wood left over from my water tower kit. Then glued some Woodland Scenics coal in place. I like this because the sides actually fold down and plan on placing a workman with a shovel in it.

This was a few hours afternoon project. I also plan on having a couple of horses to pull it. few more pics below, and stand by for part 2.
